Evolving Through Transitions

October 24, 2023

In 2022, I went through several important transitions: my Mom died suddenly, I became a grandmother, and I moved my home and office. There was sadness and joy in equal measure.

In 2023, I became a bestselling author with Your Hidden Advantage, and moved my home and office again, this time to a stunning area outside Houston. I’m now within 10 minutes of my two sons and daughter-in-law.

Each of these transitions was challenging – emotionally and logistically – and each required me to reorient to something new. I also know, from a lifetime of experience, that whether I consider the transition ‘good’ or ‘bad’, it leads to personal growth.

Speaking of transitions, I recently shared my vision and concerns about future-proofing your business.

If you’ve ever wondered what’s next for your business, whether it’s expansion, new markets, or positioning for your exit, that’s the essence of the important conversation I’m creating.

The What's Next Roundtable™: An Interactive Conversation for Women Experts Who Wonder What’s Next for Their Business.

If you’d like to attend the Roundtable on November 2, 2023, please read on…

Today’s Question:

What major transitions have you faced recently and what valuable lessons have you learned?

How have these lessons influenced your approach to your business?

But Here’s the Twist . . .

Transitions are the threads that weave the tapestry of our lives. They come in various forms - career changes, personal milestones, evolving relationships, and changes within your business.

Each transition demands that you reorient yourself to something new, whether it's a shift in your market, an expansion of your services, or positioning your company for your exit.

As you adapt to new circumstances, your perspective broadens, your skills deepen, and your resilience strengthens.

Now What?

Navigating transitions can be an exhilarating challenge. It's about stepping out of your comfort zone and embracing the unknown. It's about asking yourself, "Who do I want to become through this transition?"

Transitions can enhance your leadership abilities, foster a more inclusive and innovative workplace, and enable you to make decisions with a deeper understanding of the human experience.

We are always evolving – as people and as business owners. How you handle transitions can lead you to becoming a more empathetic leader, a more adaptable strategist, and a more resilient problem-solver.

This type of evolution is a big part of figuring out ‘what’s next’ for your business.

I invite you to attend The What's Next Roundtable™: An Interactive Conversation for Women Experts Who Wonder What’s Next for Their Business.

There is no cost to attend and there will be no pitches. We'll have an informal panel to foster the conversation and opportunities for attendees to interact with each other.

I firmly believe – and have built my business around – the idea that business success and wealth in the hands of women elevates society as a whole.

It concerns me that very few women are planning for what’s next. That leaves our life’s work, our impact, and our legacy in the hands of fate. We may be just one bad diagnosis away from losing our business entirely. I’ve been there.

In my view, this is a much-needed discussion we may be putting off, busy handling all the things right in front of us. Now is the time to think and talk about ‘what's next’ for your business.

If you'd like to join the conversation, please complete the Exit Readiness Index™ (ERI) with this assessment: http://she-exits.com/

You’ll receive an email with your ERI results and a link to register for the Roundtable, which is on November 2, 2023 at 10 am Central, for 90 minutes.

Your results provide the foundation for the discussion, so please bring your ERI Category to the Roundtable.

Even if you are not interested in exiting your business, this will help you figure out where you are on your business journey and give you some ideas about building real business value.

This clearer picture will inform your ‘what’s next’. I'm excited to see you on November 2!

All the best, Patty

P.S. Remember to complete the Exit Readiness Index™ with this assessment: http://she-exits.com/ Once you do, you'll receive your results and a link to register for the Roundtable.

P.S. Are you giving 'invisible' discounts to prospects who didn't ask for them? The anxiety you feel when talking with a potential client leaks out when you slash your price because you're afraid you'll lose the opportunity if you don't.

I’ve broken down exactly why this 'discount dilemma' happens in an exclusive training called The Value Equation, which you can get for FREE by signing up for the bonuses that are companion pieces for my book, Your Hidden Advantage.

Patty Block

My life’s work is empowering high-achieving women business owners to fine-tune their operations and scale their revenue for strategic growth, creating real business value and emerging exit ready. That value can transform into wealth when they are ready to exit their company - and I believe that wealth in the hands of women elevates society as a whole.
