81 - 5 Free Programs to Grow Your Business

Interested in growing your business? Then you may want to check out BusinessUSA.gov, a partnership of federal, state and local government agencies designed to streamline access to business assistance programs.

BusinessUSA uses technology to connect businesses to local, personalized information, tools and programs to help them grow.

Below are five free programs on BusinessUSA.gov to help grow your business:

1. Grow Your Business app

The Grow Your Business app provides programs, tools and information to develop a marketing plan, explore franchising, find international trade leads and foreign customers, diversify into new markets, and discover loan programs, market access programs and federally funded opportunities for specific industries.

2. Find Opportunities app

The Find Opportunities app will help you find new customers by guiding you to government contracting programs, trade leads and grant opportunities. By answering a few questions, this app will connect you with government procurement experts and small business development counselors to help you sell to the government; list the top five federal contracting programs based on your business situation; find procurement forecasts and expiring contracts to help you target your marketing to the government; and help you search for local contract solicitations based on your industry code, keyword or due date.

3. Explore Exporting app

The Explore Exporting app helps determine how prepared your business is for exporting, with tools and checklists to determine your commitment to export and create an export plan and strategies. You also will find information there to help you understand the logistical and regulatory mechanics of exporting. The Begin Exporting and Expand Exporting apps offer tools and resources for new and experienced export companies, including extensive information on exporting basics, identifying your target market, licenses and regulations, finding trade missions and trade partners, and market research techniques.

4. Access Financing app

When you want to expand your existing business, either in the U.S. or in emerging or overseas markets, the Access Financing app can help in meeting your current financial needs. By answering a few questions, the app will display the top five federal loan programs, a list of local lenders and funders, and where you can make an appointment with local business advisors.

5. Talk to Local Business Advisors app

The Talk to Local Business Advisors app allows you to request an appointment and locate the closest advisers as well as resource centers. These advisers can help you with your business needs such as getting business licenses and permits; protecting your intellectual property; taxes and regulations; hiring employees and finding affordable health care; and connecting you with exporting programs.
