How to Create a Global Plan?
Five Aspects To Create a Global Plan
1. - Do your research. You need to find out:
- who and where your customers are in the world;
- how your prospects purchase;
- who your competition is from a global perspective;
- what your competitive advantage is;
- whether there are any issues restricting products/services being sold in specific countries (e.g. electrical certifications); and,
- the various regulations and bylaws, language barriers, business customs, cultural differences, time zones and local representatives.
2. - Develop your brand. Be sure to create an image that will make your company look professional and able to compete on an international level.
3. - Start locally. Gain experience in your local market with local customers first. This will provide you with invaluable experience and prepare you for taking your business to the global marketplace.
4. - Create a going global plan. Ensure you protect your intellectual property (e.g. with worldwide patents if you have technology).
5. - Put your plan into action. You'll be surprised how it can all work. Think big, and watch your business grow.
