3. Communication: Make building rapport with others a priority. Focus on listening to others and proactively communicate with team members. Make sure positive comments outweigh negative comments.
4. Caring: Treat all employees and team members as individuals, as opposed to just a member of some department. Forge long-term relationships and make an effort to take genuine interest in others.
5. Commitment: Have a clear vision of your goals and the goals of your team. Communicate those objectives clearly.
6. Confidence building: Inspire others; make the team feel appreciated and valued. And remember, without the team, there really is no leadership.
Credibility in leadership comes in many forms. Actively engage these six strategies and you will see measurable results; both in your team and yourself.
