The Power of Positive Thinking:
From a young age many of us see a male dominated business world. Women who have tried to show their leadership qualities have often been labelled ‘bossy’ or ‘aggressive’ and lost confidence. Women can have the confidence to make an impact and believe in themselves to turn their good ideas into reality. Using natural leadership skills that many women possess, you can take steps to start your own business.
Get Support:
Like anyone in business, having support and feedback will help you develop and step out of your comfort zone. Studies have found that encouragement is more important to women than men. If you are thinking about starting your own business join support groups such as the Female Entrepreneur Association for mentoring and if you require financial support seek out business partners who could assist.
Know Your Strength:
Women have a great eye for the detail and are quite often more analytical in their approach. A more considered decision making process counts for everything and certainly prevents failure however never hang around too long because speed beats perfection every time. Knowing your strengths is so important and I recommend to spend 80% of your learning time to grow them and 20% on other things that will have a direct impact on your business.
